All our classes are open to all. Whether you are a beginner or you've been practising for years it is wise to approach every class as if it were your first, leave your ego at the door and revel in the ‘beginners’ mindset’.
Whilst in class always exercise your ‘yogis choice’, your inner wisdom and honest judgement about whether you are pushing yourself too much into the realms of ‘ego yoga’.
Please wear loose comfortable layers and be prepared to work in bare feet. Also ensure that you complete and keep the Health Waiver form updated bringing any health issues to our attention.
This is a prelude to an extended relaxation or ‘yoga nidra’ offered as a restorative class with typically 5 to 8 non-weight bearing supine and prone poses and counter poses. Each is held passively for 5-10 minutes each - not as easy as it may sound. Lots of props are used with breathing exercises ‘pranayama’ woven into the class. Suitable for all, but particularly therapeutic for anyone coping with dis-ease, sleep deprivation, anxiety or the stresses & strain of life challenges. Restorative yoga soothes the body and carefully coaxes us towards stillness.
